For the design layout of my environment, I looked into each level style I spoke about in my research and decided to use the alley level style. Doing this made the environment map layout a bit more linear with the occasional secret the player might be able to find if they were to take a different path. For the first design, I mainly used rectangles and squares to layout where paths and rooms would be on the floors of my environment. (The arrow indicates where the player can go to the second floor).

I finished off the map design with a final version highlighting what rooms will have in them, and what purpose some of the rooms serve. I also made sure to highlight where doorways will be placed in the environment, as it is an enclosed map limiting where exactly the player can go.
